Man, that is just a hard thing to top! So if you guys can make it, mark your calendars and be here at ImaginOn for the event!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And now for something completely different; A Super Cool Book Review:
Stoneheart by Charlie Fletcher - This book is right up there with Tunnels in my opinion (for my Tunnels review see my April 5, 2008 post). If you remember that review, you will recall I gave it pretty high praise. Well Stoneheart is just as good!!!!! This book is the first in a trilogy (shoot, I hate waiting for the next installment) about a 12 year old boy named George. While on a school visit to a museum in London, George looses his temper and breaks a small carving of a dragon from the face of the building. He soon finds out that this stupid act has brought him into a London he never knew existed. A London where statues are very much alive and fall, generally, into two categories either Spits or Taints (to find out what this means you'll have to read the book). A fragile truce lies between them and George finds himself through his thoughtless actions very likely to cause all out war between the two fractions. Added to all this, George is given 24 hours to make amends for the breaking of the carving or face a fate worse than death. George meets many allies and enemies throughout his journey of this "other London." Some of these characters are Edie (a Glint), The Gunner, The Black Friar, The Sphinxes, Dragons, Gargoyles, The Grid Man, a Minotaur, The Clocker, The Walker, among many others. All these characters are wonderful and fascinating; jammed into a fast moving story that will keep you enthralled from beginning to end. Miss this book at your own disappointment!!!!!!!
Whelp, that's all I got for now, kiddos.
Happy Trails,
Bill
